Cryosurgery is a very effective treatment for a broad range of benign skin problems. With proper instruction and supervised understanding, physicians can gain expertise over the technique quickly. Cryosurgery is suitable for use in patients with light skin and for treatment of lesions in most non–hair-bearing areas of the body.

Cryotherapy provides a noninvasive, pain free and quick treatment to soothe itchy, sore, dry and reddened skin to help manage the symptoms of skin conditions including eczemapsoriasis and dermatitis. The 3 minute treatment comprises standing in a sauna while the skin in exposed to temperatures below zero using liquid nitrogen.
